SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” In simple terms, it means the process of improving your site to increase its visibility for relevant searches. c) Meta Tags: These provide information/ description of a particular element or a section. They can be upto 160 characters.
d) URL’s: These are links which show the information about the page which they lead to after clicking.
e) Alt text: It describes about the images on a website.
Off-page SEO: It refers to the activities that you and your consumers do away from your website, to increase the ranking of your website in the Google search engine results page. The following are few of the Off-page ranking factors:
a) Links: These refers to links from other websites or social media handles leading to your website.
b) Brand Image: If your brand is popular and offers products and services of a great quality, customers would naturally come to your website to avail your services again or buy your again.
c) Social: This refers to reviews of your products or services, view of the consumers. Even engagements with the consumers in various platforms would also help.
d) Brand Mentions: If your customers really like your product, they keep talking about it and mention it to other prospective customers who in turn visit your website to avail your services. And it is a huge bonus if a celebrity likes your product and mentions it on their social media platforms because they have a large number of followers.
